So far, China is – I think in my opinion – the only country that is still on lockdown. The rest of the world has moved on and accepted the virus as a part of life.

But I think there’s more to it than that. One word – CONTROL. Covid19 was time to assert control on the Chinese population. As the nation became wealthy, the CCP has also increased it’s awareness that when people become more wealthy, they can turn their backs on the CCP. And early on, the CCP has been very keen on taking back control.

They have either jailed or executed wealthy individuals from Billionaires, to athletes, actors, influences, etc. Early on 2006, there were Chinese people buying up properties in Canada. Just buying them and not even living in them. Money was not an issue. Some have their kids enroll in Canada’s universities. They were driving expensive and exotic cars (Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc). I’ve heard years later that those the CCP has warned those people that have moved money outside the country to recoup those money and bring it back or else there will be consequences. That was the time when the CCP was trying to get back control of the country.

Now, with the Covid19, China has in its grasps the means to take measures to control their people. And in a sense, I believe, they have. If you are not with the CCP, you will have a hard time with the lockdown. If you are with the CCP, and if you help with controlling your neighbours, then you will be rewarded.

I feel so sorry for the people in China. Xi Jinping wants to be the next Emperor with an Iron Fist. Well, I guess he already is.
